It is without a doubt that tie-dye sweat suit sets have been the go to quarantine outfit for much of the world. A simple google search will navigate you through hundreds of websites offering their rendition of the latest at-home trend. Some even beginning their own do-it-yourself versions to keep their hands full while on lock down. These massive influencer induced trends result in fast fashion companies pushing out styles for consumers at an affordable price. However, quick fixes like these can possibly cause more harm than foul.

By now, everyone should be aware of the harmful effects the fast fashion industry has on our eco-system. In spite of this, we are all guilty of willingly purchasing a trendy, low-quality item to temporarily fulfill our current fashion endeavor. Most often times than naught, these choices continue to sit and collect dust in the back of our closets. Fast fashion retailers affordable prices and accessibility make purchasing trends easier than ever.

Nevertheless, fads like tie-dye are a great example of how something trendy can in fact, be much more timeless. Take Raquel Allegra for example, one of the pioneers of the ever-so growing tie-dye movement. She has created a multitude of beautiful tie dye pieces along the years, and will continue to do so. Not because of its current spike in popularity, but because it remains is true to herself. This type of mentality would be extremely healthy to crossover into consumers as well.

 These hard times have taught so many people the importance of budgeting and saving money; and while most don't have tons of money to spend on a single pair of sweat pants. Taking the time to think about purchasing an item, and investing the time and money into it can determine your true desire for something. It is worth looking into these trends and finding designers to support, who take the time to put real effort and care into their work. We should all continue to support original designers now, more than ever.

It is so important to remember who and what you spend your hard earned money on. Fast fashion has allowed apparel, especially casual wear, to become easily disposable.  We should begin to look at all of our clothes, even if its an outfit for your living room, as a quality and cherish-able item.
